Charles Doran is responsible for developing financial plans for clients, creating and executing investment strategies and directs the operations of Diddel and Diddel.
 
His career in the financial services industry began with the Thomson McLintock in London in 1968 (now KPMG) where he was apprenticed as a Chartered Accountant.  He was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1972 and subsequently granted Fellowship in 1974. He was granted Fellowship of the Association of Corporate Treasurers in 1978. 
 
Following on from his career in the accounting profession Charles was appointed European treasurer of G.D. Searle in 1975, and then joined Citibank in 1980. He held several responsibilities in his 25 year career at Citibank, in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and then New York. He ran product based businesses in Citibank’s Corporate and Investment Bank being responsible for the provision of a variety of financial services to major corporations. In 1997, he assumed responsibility for the creation of Citigroup’s global corporate transactional banking internet presence. In 2003 he was awarded Citigroup’s Annual Global Award for Product Innovation for this worldwide service.
 
In 2005, Charles left Citigroup and focused his financial skills and experience on providing wealth management advice and services to individual clients. He is a registered representative of Sammons Securities Company LLC, and a registered wealth management advisor with Sigma Planning Corporation. He holds the following professional registrations and licenses: Series 7, 66, Life and Health and Variable Insurance Contracts.
 
Charles interests include active participation in Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club as the Treasurer and a frequent ride leader.  He is also an active skier, tennis and paddle tennis player. He has resided in Greenwich for 24 years, with his wife Elaine, and is the father of three grown sons and has four grandchildren.
